So for this weekend's entertainment, the hubster and I went on a Tour of Homes or, shall I say, Tour of Home, as this was the only stop on the tour worthy of me putting on a bra and leaving the house on a Sunday.
Where we live in New Mexico, $249,000 is pushing the envelope for affordable living. This little beauty comes in at $845,000 but they didn't even bother to put up a gate to keep the riff-raff out. Sooooo suburban.
So this is the grand hall. I wonder what rich people do in a grand hall?
Maybe they recline on the sofa (I don't think rich people call it a couch) and stare up at their ridiculously ornate ceiling and think, 'why hasn't (insert ethic name of your choice) dusted the damn ceiling fan blades? I ought to fire that girl!' And then maybe they tell themselves what a good person they are for hiring that girl in the first place. I mean, where else could an (ethnic) mother of 5 get a job that pays $7 an hour?! (That's the rich people talking, not me)
Maybe they work out with their trainer by opening and closing that door.
It's an awfully big door. Has the ADA started cracking down on giant discrimination in residential housing? Has anyone read the sports section lately? Shaquille O'Neal hasn't fallen on hard times, has he? I mean, he's not moonlighting as a building inspector or anything? Seriously. What is up with that GINORMOUS door?
Now here's the master bedroom and I don't have anything to say about it. It's a master bedroom. It opens to a courtyard. It's nice. 'nuff said.
Blah, blah, blah, a kitchen.
Blah, blah, blah, a family room.
And this is the guest bath that is shared with guests (duh) and two bedrooms down the hall from it. It's very fancy, I think. I seriously doubt you'd find toothpaste caked to the bottom of that sink. But if you did, ol' (ethnic name) is going to lose her job for REALS!!!!
